- Take it off before showering or swimming. Chlorine and salt water can damage the gemstones, so it is important to remove your jewelry before doing any water activities.
- Gemstones can be delicate and can chip or scratch easily. Be sure to handle your jewelry gently and avoid hitting it against hard surfaces.
- Certain gemstones, such as amethyst, citrine, and topaz, can fade or lose their color when exposed to prolonged sunlight or high heat.
- To clean: use a soft, dry washcloth (or a jewelry cloth) to remove any fingerprints, oils, etc.
